Finished in 2011, the memorial was created through significant donations, as well as by the purchase of pavers inscribed with the names of Jewish veterans who served in the past as well as those currently serving in the Armed Forces. Veterans from Russia, Canada and Israel are also honored. The Memorial site has spaces for more pavers. Such a remembrance, whether the honoree served in a time of conflict or in a time of peace, is a dignified tribute. It acknowledges that the individual gave a significant amount of time entirely to the defense of their country.
