The Marketing Dept. at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater seeks a skilled graphic artist. This opportunity will allow the ideal candidate to add flare and creativity to marketing and communications materials. The UJFT Marketing Dept. conceptualizes designs and implements digital, social, and some print materials daily for Federation programs and events, as well as happenings at the Simon Family JCC.

Position Summary
The Graphic Artist is responsible for ideation, creation and delivery of design elements for various departments at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater/Simon Family JCC. All created content fits the overall marketing and communications strategy that supports the mission and programs of the United Jewish Federation/Simon Family JCC. Successful candidate is passionate about graphic artistry, design work, and has a desire and proven skill set to work across multiple channels, including social media, email, internal communication, public relations and marketing collateral.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Creative
• Detail-oriented.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat.
• Experienced with print production.
• Flexible and able to work quickly.
• Dependable
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in design, art, communications or related fields. As least two years of design experience in a professional setting. Must have prior experience uploading ready-for-print files to a printer. Knowledge and appreciation for the Jewish heritage, values, traditions and culture, helpful

Basic video editing skills or website development a plus.
