Housekeeper/Building Services Worker

Pay Rate: $15/hour

The Sandler Family Campus in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced and dependable Housekeeping/Building Services Worker for immediate evening shift positions (Monday–Friday, 12:30 – 9:00 PM). Responsibilities include cleaning offices, classrooms, restrooms, and athletic areas, as well as assisting with event setups. Candidates should have prior housekeeping experience and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • Dependability a must
  • At least one to two years of commercial cleaning experience, preferably at a large institution.
  • Familiarity with the proper use of basic cleaning tools and supplies; diluting cleaning chemicals and safety equipment
  • Must be sensitive to the needs and programs of the center.
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to frequently changing priorities and the ability to remain flexible
  • Customer service experience, and a professional friendly attitude, helpful
  • Must be able to work other shifts if assigned; must be available to work during emergencies
  • Landscaping experience helpful
  • Floor Tech experience, a plus
  • Perform other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
 

  • Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. 
  • Constant walking, standing, bending, stooping, stretching, kneeling, and stair climbing, associated with the position.
